Volleyball Remains Undefeated in SAA Play with Sweep of Oglethorpe

ATLANTA – The Vikings won their sixth straight match, as the Berry College volleyball team bested SAA foe Oglethorpe University 3-0 on Wednesday. 

Set scores were 25-21, 25-15 and 25-22 as Berry defeated the Stormy Petrels to remain undefeated in the Southern Athletic Association. The Vikings led the match in kills (34-30), assists (32- 27) and digs (63-59). Berry also had five blocks to Oglethorpe's four, hitting .116 as a team in the outing.

NOTABLES: 

  • With the win, Berry improves to 11-3 overall and 6-0 in the SAA holding the conference lead with BSC sitting at 4-1
  • Oglethorpe falls to 2-8 and 0-6 on the year.

  • Berry will travel to Sewanee for their next SAA contest against the Tigers on Saturday, Sept. 30. Set one will begin at 12:00 p.m. in Sewanee, Tenn.
