CONWAY, Ark. - The Berry College softball team swept Hendrix College on Saturday to improve to 28-2. Game scores were 10-0 and 3-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME ONE):
• The Vikings added five runs in both the fourth and sixth innings to ensure the 10-0 run-rule victory over Hendrix in game one.
• Katlin Seger doubled to left center in the top of the fourth to bring in three Vikings and move the score to 3-0.
• Kylie Aiken then doubled before the end of the inning as well, to push the lead to 5-0.
• Aiken added her second double of the game in the top of the sixth inning to score Karlie Jarrett and push the lead to 6-0.
• Marie Collop hit a sac fly to bring home Brittany Ferrell and expand the lead to 7-0.
• A single and a double, respectively, by Kenzie Fleming and Elisabeth Federici brought in the final runs, securing Berry's 10-0 win over the Warriors.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME TWO):
• Ferrell scored on a Warrior error in the top of the first inning to give Berry their first lead of the game.
• Seger then added a sac fly in the top of the fourth inning to move the score to 2-0.
• Ferrell added a bases loaded walk in the top of the fourth inning as well to score the Vikings' final run of the game.
• Hendrix's Victoria Hughes scored on back-to-back throwing errors by the Vikings in the bottom of the sixth to cut Berry's lead to two runs, but Berry held on to win 3-1.

NOTABLES:
• Collop earned the win in the circle for Berry in game two, allowing only two hits and no earned runs, while striking out nine batters for the Vikings.
• Kassie Howard earned the win in game one, allowing only one hit in five innings of work, while striking out five batters.
• With the wins, Berry improves to 28-2 overall.

The two teams will finish game three of the series tomorrow at 10 a.m.
