Baseball Outlasts Millsaps, 3-2.

JACKSON, Miss. - - Slade Dale led the offense with two hits as the Berry College baseball team defeated Millsaps College, 3-2, on Friday afternoon.

The win improved the Vikings to 24-10 overall and 10-6 in the Southern Athletic Association. The loss dropped the Majors to 16-16 and 9-7.

Two other BC players added hits in the win: Dusty Tyson and Ben Jernigan. Tyson and Jacob Delk knocked in one RBI each on the afternoon.

Cavan Breland led the Majors' offense with two hits in the loss.

BC scored in each of the first three innings and never trailed.

TJ Montgomery (6-3) earned the win on the mound for Berry. Montgomery threw six innings, allowing only seven hits and two runs, while striking out three batters.

JP Chamblee tossed his fourth save of the year to close out the game for the Vikings. Chamblee recorded one strikeout in the outing.

Berry and Millsaps will close out their three-game series tomorrow in Mississippi. First pitch of the double-header is set for 1 p.m.
