BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Ben Jernigan tossed a complete game and Austin Haight collected three hits as Berry College defeated Millsaps College, 9-2, in SAA Tournament play on Friday.

The Vikings improved to 26-15 and advanced to a winner's bracket game on Saturday. The Majors fell to 19-20 and will have to play out of the loser's bracket.

Jernigan thew nine innings, scattered ten hits, struck out three, and allowed two runs. Haight was 3-for-5, scored once and had one RBI. 

The Vikings plated four runs in the fourth inning. They tacked on three more in the sixth frame in the victory. Slade Dale went 2-of-4 with two runs and Alfred Francis hit 2-for-4 with two runs, a double and one RBI.

For Millsaps, Chase  Callaway went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Berry will play top-seed and host Birmingham-Southern at 1 p.m. EDT.
