Box Score ROME, Ga. -- Freshman Devin Post went 3-for-4 and scored twice, but Berry College lost to Hendrix, 12-6, on Saturday.
The Warriors, which won the rubber game of the series, moved to 9-8 and 4-2 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Vikings fell to 15-6 and 3-3 in league play.
Post, who had a double and a triple, led a Berry offense that produced 11 hits. Hunter White had a home run for BC and Ben Jernigan added a double.
Hendrix, however, countered with 21 hits in the contest. Jernigan (2-2) started for the home team, but was chased after 3 1/3 innings. He allowed eight runs (five earned) and eight hits. Six other pitchers took the mound for the Vikes.
The game was tied 3-3 before the visitors plated five runs in the fourth inning. Leadoff hitter Jorge Leon was 5-for-6 with a double three RBI to lead HC. Teammate Tanner Cooper was 4-of-5 and added three RBI.
Harley Faye (4-1) pitched eight innings, allowed five runs, and earned the victory for the Warriors.
Berry plays at Covenant College on Tuesday.
