Box Score ROME, Ga. -- Grant Perkins went 2-for-3 at the plate and Trey Rampy got the win as Berry College defeated Emory & Henry, 11-6, on Sunday.
With the victory, Berry completed the three-game sweep of the Wasps and moved to 3-0. E&H fell to 0-3.
Both teams collected nine hits in the contest. Perkins was one of six Vikings who had hits in the game. Ben Jernigan (1-for-4, 3 RBI) knocked his second home run of the year in the third inning.
Rampy pitched four innings, allowed two runs and three hits. The Wasps tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth before BC plated one run in the bottom of the inning. The Vikings never trailed again.
John Melson tossed two innings of scoreless ball and allowed just one hit.
Berry plated four runs in the bottom of the fifth frame to break the game open. Perkins and Dusty Tyson and Jacob Delk all had three runs batted in for the home team.
Wasp starter Trey Polen took the defeat. Three E&H players had two hits in the game.
The Vikings host LaGrange College on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
