DANVILLE, Ky. – Emily Nixon scored in the 51st minute to cut the Colonels' lead in half, but the Berry College women's soccer team fell to Centre College, 2-1, in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) semifinals on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Alana Hughes and Destinie Graves each tallied once and assisted once in the first fifteen minutes, giving Centre an early lead.
- Nixon then scored early in the second half to give the Vikings a chance at the victory, but the Colonels held on to win, 2-1.
- Centre outshot the Vikings, 20-11.
- The Colonels also added seven shots on goal to the Vikings' four.
- Both teams added two corner kicks apiece.
