ATLANTA – Dale Stones scored the lone Vikings goal of the game as the Berry College men's soccer team fell to the Majors of Millsaps College, 4-1, on Friday afternoon in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) quarterfinal match to round out their season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Millsaps' Jan Bergk scored the first goal of the game in the 12th minute, giving the Majors an early, 1-0, lead.
- Tore Schutt then scored off a pass from Gabriel Ryce in the 13th minute to push the score to, 2-0.
- Stones found the back of the net less than ten minutes later, adding the only Berry goal of the game in the 19th minute off a pass from JT Kieffer.
- The Majors added two more tallies before the end of the game, ensuring their, 4-1, victory.
- Millsaps led the game in shots (15-13) and corner kicks (7-3).
