ATLANTA – The Berry College volleyball team rounded out play at the Emory National Tournament with a, 3-1, win against Randolph-Macon College and a, 3-0, loss to Emory University on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set scores against Randolph-Macon were 25-23, 15-25, 25-21 and 25-13.
- Set scores against Emory were 15-25, 23-25 and 16-25.
- The Vikings combined for 71 kills, 63 assists, 112 digs and 27 blocks.
BERRY STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:
- Micayla Bedoian: 14 kills, 14 blocks, 11 digs
- Christina Goforth: 13 kills, 3 digs
- Hannah Kate Thompson: 50 assists, 15 digs, 5 kills
- Katie Truluck: 30 digs
- Elizabeth Ragland: 19 digs, 3 assists
RANDOLPH-MACON STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:
- Mariah Clark: 17 kills, 11 digs, 2 blocks
- Rebecca McGilvery: 9 kills, 20 digs
- Erin Quinn: 39 assists, 25 digs
EMORY UNIVERSITY STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:
- Sydney Leimbach: 13 kills, .409 attack %
- Morgan McKnight: 11 kills, 2 digs
- Hannah Billings: 21 assists, 11 digs
NOTABLES:
- The Vikings move to 21-9 on the season to round out regular season play.
- Emory improves to 27-5, and Randolph-Macon falls to 20-7.
- Berry finishes out the Emory National tournament at 3-1.
- Berry's strong blocking will push them to No. 1 in NCAA DIII for blocks per set.
