JACKSON, Miss. – Millsaps College defeated Berry College, 11-7, in a Southern Athletic Association women's lacrosse quarterfinal match on Saturday.

The Majors advance to the SAA semifinals and improved to 9-4. Berry's season ends with a 9-7 record.

The match was tied 3-3 at halftime. Millsaps, however, outscored the Vikings 8-4 in the final 30 minutes to secure the win.

Lizzy Jones led the BC offense with 2 goals. Tori Alexander had 7 saves for BC.

Berry led in draw controls, 11-9. Millsaps had the edge in shots (27-19) and ground balls (28-19).

Katie Istra tallied 3 times to pace the MC attack.
