BC women's lacrosse edged at Millsaps, 13-11

JACKSON, Miss. -- Millsaps College defeated Berry College, 13-11, in Southern Athletic Association women's lacrosse action on Saturday.

MC improved to 8-4 and 4-3 in the SAA. BC fell to 8-6 and 3-4 in conference play.

Kelsey McAnnally led the Vikes with 3 goals and 3 assists. Clara Bissell tallied 3 times for the visitors. Savannah Robar and Kim Fischer both collected 2 goals apiece.

The match was tied 6-6 at halftime. Berry trailed 10-6 with 22 minutes remaining. The Vikings, however, tallied the next 4 goals to knot the game at 10-10 with 12:47 on the clock. 

Bissell later tied the match at 11-11 two minutes later before the Majors recorded the game's final 2 scores.

Kendall Fann netted 4 goals for Millsaps. Tori Alexander recorded 4 saves for Berry.

Millsaps led in draw controls (15-11) and shots (24-13). BC had the edge in ground balls, 22-18.

The Vikings close regular season play with a non-conference game at Huntingdon on Tuesday.
