ROME, Ga. - - Although Katie O'Rourke posted a double-double, the Berry College volleyball team was upset by visiting Rhodes College, 3-2, on Sunday afternoon.

The Vikes dropped to 13-5 and 4-3 in the SAA. RC moved to 7-10 and 2-5.

O'Rourke led the BC offense with 12 kills, hitting .458 on the afternoon. She also added 12 digs in the loss.

The set scores were 25-18, 22-25, 25-15, 21-25 and 10-15.

Lauren Schmitz dished 34 assists for the Viking offense. She also notched 12 digs as well. Katie Truluck added 19 digs in the five-set loss.

Berry could not regain their composure in the fifth set, and the Lynx took the match with the, 15-10, tiebreaker.

For Rhodes, August Bishop spiked 19 kills in the victory.

The Vikings earned 17 team blocks to Rhodes' six. Both clubs hit .168 for the match.

BC will take on Oglethorpe University in their next match on Wednesday, Oct. 7. The SAA match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Atlanta.
