Box Score ROME, Ga. -- Emily Stromberg had 14 kills and Katie O'Rourke added 12 as Berry College swept Sewanee, 3-0, on Saturday at the Cage Center. Set scores were 25-18, 26-24, 25-19.
The Vikings improved to 9-9 and 3-1 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Tigers dropped to 5-9, 1-3.
O'Rourke hit a match-best .367 on the day. Katie Truluck and Elizabeth Ragland recorded 15 and 10 digs respectively for the home team.
For Sewanee, Sara Jayne Sutton tied Truluck with a game-high 15 digs.
"We really enjoyed having a great crowd today," said BC Head Coach Mika Robinson. "Their involvement helped us bring the kind of energy that helps us play our best. I was really pleased with set one--and I loved how so many people stepped up for us in different ways."
The Vikings host Centre College on Sunday at 2 p.m.
