Last year's game: The Berry Vikings squad competed last year against the Lynx in Memphis last year. The Lynx won the game 36-24, despite being down four points at halftime. The Vikings made history on a fake punt by Mitchell Blanchard which turned into Berry's first ever touchdown. BC also tied a NCAA record with a 100-yard fumble recovery for the second touchdown of the game by Anthony Batey. Rhodes scored 23 unanswered points to give them the lead. Berry scored on a six yard passing touchdown from Adam Sandin to Sean Stassie.

Berry Outlook: The Vikings traveled to LaGrange on Sept. 13 to take on the Panthers. Berry nearly earned its first victory since starting football. Berry took LaGrange to overtime but failed on the two-point conversion to fall to the Panthers 28-27. The Vikings held LaGrange's rushing attack to only 1.4 yards a carry. Preston Stewart garnered SAA defensive honors with his performance of four sacks with nine total tackles. Matt Farinella led the team in total tackles with 11 and received on interception in the game. Kreg Keiffer tallied ten tackles with a tackle for a loss, and Batey contributed an interception along with nine total tackles.

Rhodes Outlook: Rhodes traveled to Pomona-Pitzer in Claremont, California last week. The Lynx took care of the Sagehens, 42-21. The game was close until the start of the fourth quarter when the Lynx scored 21 points. RC showed a mix of the passing and rushing attack by rushing for 232 yards and passing for 215. The Lynx scored six touchdowns with three on the ground and three by passing. Rhodes converted on third down 10 of 14 times. Trey Hooper led the Lynx defense with a total of 11 tackles along with an assisted sack. Joseph Raby helped with eight total tackles with 3.5 tackles being for a loss of yards. Rhodes is 2-0 on the road and has yet to face an SAA rival.
