MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Berry College women's tennis team moved to 16-1 on the season after defeating Centre, 7-2, on Friday morning at the Old Fort Park.
The Vikings entered the SAA tournament seeded third and the Colonels (6-11) were sixth.
BC swept doubles play and got off to a 3-0 start in the match. Centre took its points at #1 and #4 singles.
The Vikings take on second-seed Birmingham-Southern on Saturday at 9 a.m. The teams did not play earlier due to inclement weather. The Panthers are 11th and Berry is 12th in the Atlantic South Region.
