CONWAY, Arkansas -- Mackenzie Tittle assisted Christian Fulbright for the game's only goal as Berry College defeated Millsaps College, 1-0, on Saturday. The win advanced the Vikings to the Southern Athletic Association Conference championship game.

The win improved Berry's overall season record to 11-6-1. Millsaps dropped to 13-6. The Majors were the top-seeded team in the tournament.

Fulbright's tally came in the fourth minute. Getting the ball from Tittle beyond the defense, Fulbright finished the play with a shot into the bottom right of the goal.

BC remained ahead, 1-0, at the end of the first half.

MC led in shots (19-9), and both teams had three corner kicks throughout the afternoon.

Berry's Jon Nelson made six saves for the Vikings. Johnathon Huebbe collected two saves in the loss for Millsaps.

"We got an unbelievable effort from everyone today," said BC Head Coach Richard Vardy. "We had to defend for long periods, but never lost control and did not give up too many chances. We are very excited to move on to the final."

The Vikings--the tournament's number five seed--look to win the SAA Championship on Sunday in Conway, Arkansas. Berry plays second-seeded Birmingham-Southern at 2 p.m. EST.
