Berry takes down Sewanee, 2-0

ROME, Georgia - - The Berry College men's soccer team beat Sewanee, 2-0, for their last regular season game on Saturday at Ford Field.

The win finished the Vikings with a 9-6-1 overall season record and a 3-3-1 record in the Southern Athletic Association.

The loss dropped the Tigers to 5-10-1 and 2-4-1.

Led by goals from Christian Fulbright and Mackenzie Tittle, the Vikings pulled out a win with their home crowd behind them.

Evenly matched in the first half, the scored was tied, 0-0, at halftime.

BC continued to press on and in the 49nd minute, Fulbright scored the first goal of the game, putting the Vikings up, 1-0.

With the momentum in their favor, Berry quickly scored again in the 72nd minute when Fulbright passed the ball to Tittle who snuck past the goalie to find the back left corner of the net, putting the Vikings up, 2-0.

Securing the win for BC, Jon Nelson had two saves in the win.

For the Tigers, Conrad Bandoroff had four saves in the loss.

Prior to the game, Fulbright, Zak Wallingford, Matt Williams and Josh Fancher were honored for Senior Day.

The Vikings will open up post-season SAA quarterfinal play on Friday, November 7, in Conway, Arkansas.
