Box Score ATLANTA -- Emory University defeated Berry College 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-14) on Friday night. The Vikings dropped to 14-14 and the host Eagles moved to 29-3.
Katie O'Rourke had a solid all-around game with seven kills, five digs and five blocks for Berry. Anna Keappler and Emily Stromberg both collected eight kills in the match.
"I really liked some of the offensive things we did tonight," said Head Coach Mika Robinson. "Unfortunately, our serving game wasn't as strong as usual--so we gave Emory great opportunities on offense as well."
The Eagles out-hit Berry.308 to .192. For Emory, Kathryn Trinka posted a match-best 11 kills.
The Vikings close play at the Emory Invitational on Saturday with matches vs. Washington & Lee and UMASS Boston.
