Berry edged at Millsaps, 1-0

JACKSON, Miss. - - The Berry College men's soccer team fell to Millsaps College, 1-0, on Friday night.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 7-5 overall and 1-2 in Southern Athletic Association play. The Majors improved to 8-5 and 1-2.

Millsap's lone goal of the game came in the 38th minute when Anthony Hayden took a shot off the crossbar that Lukas Elmhammar followed into the goal for his first score of the season, putting the Majors up 1-0 going into halftime.

The Vikings had 11 shots in the game, two of which were on goal. Ten different Vikings took shots in the loss, but unfortunately no one could find the back of the net.

BC's John Nelson had eight saves on the night. Johnathon Huebbe, had two saves for Millsaps.

The Vikings look to pick up a win on Sunday, October 19 at Birmingham-Southern at 1 p.m. in Birmingham, Alabama.
