Box Score ROME, Ga. -- Berry College cruised past LaGrange, 3-0, in its home opener on Wednesday night. Set scores were 25-12, 25-13 and 25-10.
The Vikings improved to 4-1 and the visiting Panthers fell to 3-2.
Emily Stromberg had a team-high 10 kills for Berry. Stephanie Quinn dished a match-best 19 assists, and Anna Keappler recorded a team-best eight digs for the home club.
"I was really pleased with the way we played tonight," said Berry Head Coach Mika Robinson. "It was a great opportunity for everyone to play in front of a big crowd (700)."
Berry's second unit played the entire second set.
Leslie Rhoades matched Stromberg with 10 kills for LaGrange.
Berry is off until the Trinity, Texas Tournament. The two-day event is Sept 13-14.
