Box Score ROME, Ga. -- The Berry College baseball team lost to Emory University, 11-6, on Tuesday night. Ben Jernigan and Stephen Gaylor both collected two hits for BC.
Jernigan went 2-5 with an RBI. Gaylor was 2-3 with a run and one stolen base.
Seven pitchers took the mound for the home team. Starter Chad Busby (2-2) took the loss for the Vikings.
Emory plated two runs in the first inning and added six in their next at bat. Connor Dillman (3-3) tossed six shutout innings for the Eagles. Four different Emory batters had two hits in the game.
The Vikes rebounded with five runs in the seventh inning. A highlight was Austin Neely knocking a double which scored two runners.
Berry dropped to 13-18. Emory improved to 16-13.
The Vikings host Centre on Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m.
