Berry Softball Sweeps at Sewanee, 15-0 and 17-0

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- The Berry College softball team took two games from Sewanee on Saturday. The Vikings won 17-0 and 15-0. Both games went five innings.

Berry improved to 12-6 and 6-2 in SAA games. Sewanee dropped to 3-3 and 0-2.

Caillee Shamoun started game one. She tossed three innings, struck out three and allowed one hit. Winning pitcher Natalie Boyd (4-2) threw the last two innings. She allowed one hit and fanned four Tiger hitters.

Kristen Stoll went 3-4 with a triple, a two-run home run, and three RBI. 

In the nightcap, Allison Coronado went the full five innings and got the win. She is now 2-2 on the year. The freshman had eight strikeouts and scattered four hits.

Sara Vigue (2-4) knocked two home runs and scored three times. Courtney Hodges and Stoll went 3-4. Abby Daniels had two hits, including a home run.

Berry and Sewanee play another two games on Sunday afternoon.
