ROME, Ga. -- The Berry College women's tennis team opened the year with a 9-0 win over Covenant College on Wednesday at the Richards Tennis Courts.
Emma O'Reilly was perfect on the day. She won at #1 singles 6-0 and 6-0. In the second doubles flight, she and Kaleigh Carpenter swept 8-0.
The only match that was close was at #5 singles. Heidi Seabaugh, however, rallied and beat Katherine Redberg 5-7, 6-1, 10-3.
Berry College returns to action at Piedmont next Tuesday.
