ATLANTA -- Freshman Jon Nelson made six saves as Berry College and Oglethorpe University played to a 0-0 tie in double overtime on Saturday. 

After the match, Berry is 9-5-3 and 4-1-2 in the Southern Athletic Association and OU is 8-3-3 and 4-1-2.

"This was a really good game," said Head Coach Richard Vardy.  "We played really well in second half and had several good chances, including hitting the post twice. Jon Nelson in goal had a great game and made a match-saving save in overtime."

OU led in shots (21-7) and corner kicks (7-6). Vaughn Moore had three stops for the Stormy Petrels.

The Vikings open play in the SAA Championships next Friday in Conway, Ark.
