Trinity halts volleyball winning steak

Box Score

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Berry College volleyball team had its six-match winning streak halted on Friday. Trinity (Texas) defeated the Vikings 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-18) at the Emory National Tournament.

Berry dropped to 21-6 and Trinity moved to 31-4.

Anna Keappler tied for match high honors with 10 kills. Katie O'Rourke had seven kills and hit a team-best .316. Stephanie Quinn passed for 31 assists and Emily Stromberg recorded 13 digs.

"Trinity really frustrated our offense today with great blocking and serving," said Head Coach Mika Robinson. "We definitely had our chances to win set one and three, but we committed a lot more errors than we normally do."

Erin Cusenbary posted 10 kills for the Tigers.

BC faces Cortland State and host Emory on Saturday to close play at the tournament.
