GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Samer Hajmurad scored the game's only goal as Berry College defeated Methodist University, 1-0, in a non-conference match on Sunday afternoon.

A senior, Hajmurad tallied in the 14th minute. The clean sheet was the seventh for the Vikings this year.

"We are very happy to get a win against a strong team," said Viking Head Coach Richard Vardy. "We did not play well today but our backline stood strong, and we had our share of luck."

Berry improved to 8-4-2. Methodist fell to 6-6-2.

The Vikings host Millsaps on Friday at 1 p.m.
