Berry cruises at Sewanee, 3-0

SEWANEETenn. -- Emily Stromberg notched game-highs of 11 kills and 15 digs as Berry College won at Sewanee, 3-0, on Friday night. Set scores were 25-22, 25-15 and 25-15.

The Vikings improved to 14-4 and 7-1 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Tigers fell to 12-7, 3-5.

BC out-hit UOS .300 to .097. Kelsey Lochstampfor hit a team-best .444 and added nine kills. Playmaker Stephanie Quinn led the Berry offense with 34 assists.

"We played with a lot of energy tonight and stayed aggressive the entire match," said Viking Head Coach Mika Robinson. "I felt like all aspects of our game tonight were an improvement over the last few weeks."

Jamie Kosman recorded 15 digs for Sewanee.

Berry plays at Centre on Saturday at 1 p.m.
