DANVILLE, Ky. – Playing on the road yet again, Berry could not muster any offense and lost to Centre, 1-0, in a Saturday evening matchup.
Berry drops to 7-3 and 0-1 in Southern Athletic Association play while Centre improves to 7-2 and 1-0.
The game-winning goal came during the 79th minute when Centre's Jeremy Carlson fed Ryan Garvey for the decisive score past Berry keeper Logan Hill.
Berry outshot Centre by a 13-11 margin during the game. Junior Samer Hajmurad led Berry with four shots. Centre's Garvey led the team with four shots. Berry has outshot its opponents in all three defeats.
Hill took the loss for Berry after making two saves. Centre keeper Zach Sosnovich earned the win, making four saves along the way.
Berry will return to action in another SAA game when it squares off against Rhodes College on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. The match is part of Mountain Day festivities.
