ATLANTA, Ga. – Playing in its first Southern Athletic Association matchup, Berry (7-2) defeated Oglethorpe (1-1) in three sets on Wednesday evening at Dorough Field House. Scores were 25-10, 25-14 and 27-25.
Junior Stephanie Quinn led Berry with 23 assists while sophomore Meredith Hopper came off the bench to pace the team with eight kills.
"It was great to get a win on the road tonight in the first-ever SAA volleyball match," said Berry head coach Mika Robinson. "I felt like our team did a great job of executing our game plan and putting a lot of pressure on Oglethorpe from the service line."
Berry will return to action on Friday night when it faces Sewanee at 7 p.m. at the Juhan Gymnasium in Sewanee, Tenn.
