Berry pitcher Caillee Shamoun tossed a complete game to lead the Vikings to a 11-2 victory over Transylvania Saturday at the Rhodes Lynx Softball Classic in Memphis, Tenn.

Berry's later game against host Rhodes was suspended in the top of the third inning with the score tied 0-0 due to darkness.

Shamoun kept Transylvania hitters in the dark throughout the early game, holding the Pioneers to just three hits in seven innings.

Meanwhile, the Vikings' offense was lighting up the scoreboard, collecting 12 hits, including two each from Jessica Washington, Kristen Stoll and Lacey Herring. 

Washington and Stoll each drove in three runs and scored once.  Stoll had a pair of doubles and two stolen bases.

Herring and Krista Woody each belted a home run.  Woody and Holly Todd crossed the plate twice apiece for the Vikings.

Berry will play Maryville at 9 a.m., Sunday, then will pick up the game against Rhodes that started Friday where it left off in the third inning. When that game concludes, Berry and Rhodes will meet again in a game that was already scheduled to be played Sunday.
