ROME, Ga. – Using goals from five different players, Berry won, 5-0, against Oglethorpe in a Saturday afternoon matchup at Ford Field.
Senior Allie LeFeuvre started the scoring at 6:08, and fellow senior Alex Garza tacked on another at 37:52. Those goals left Berry with a 2-0 advantage at halftime.
In the second half, sophomore Cori Wagner booted home a score at 46:49. Junior Kim Fischer added another goal at 65:15, and senior Rachel Czyz capped the scoring with a breakaway goal at 84:54.
Junior Blair Shupenko earned the victory the Berry and made no saves. Her Oglethorpe counterpart, Bailey Evans, took the loss and made 17 saves.
Berry ups its record to 4-9-2 and 1-4-2 in Southern Athletic Association play. Oglethorpe drops to 4-10 and 1-6.
Berry will wrap up its 2012 regular season at home on Tuesday afternoon against Covenant at 4 p.m.
