Mel McLean led four Berry College players in double figures with a game high 18 points as the Lady Vikings defeated Oakwood 83-49 in a women's basketball game in Huntsville, Ala., Monday evening.

Berry (7-11) used a hot-shooting night to break away from Oakwood, hitting 49 percent of its shots from the field, including a 50 percent clip from 3-point range.  Meanwhile, the Lady Vikings' defense was solid, holding Oakwood to just 30 percent shooting from the field in the game.

McLean was joined in double figures by Alexa Evans, who finished with 16 points and six rebounds, Chanlir Segarra, who added 15 points, and Danielle Sisk, who chipped in 10. 

Megan Walsh led Berry with eight rebounds in the contest.  The Lady Vikings outrebounded Oakwood 48-20.

Christine Hairston led Oakwood with 17 points.  She was joined in double figures by Courtney White, who scored 10.

Berry is scheduled to return to action Feb. 11, when it hosts LaGrange.
