Stephanie Quinn delivered 35 assists in the match against Wartburg for the Vikings, while Kristin Hargrove led the Vikings with 16 digs and Christy Meggitt recorded three service aces in her first collegiate match. Scott added 10 digs.
"Wartburg did a great job staying in system and really challenging our defense with their quick tempo to both pins," Berry head coach Mika Robinson said.
Quinn went on to dish 52 assists against Augsburg, while Kiersten Hammock finished with seven kills and four blocks, and Hargrove picked up 17 digs. Scott contributed nine digs, eight kills, three service aces and a pair of blocks.
"We played better in the second match today, but there were still a lot of inconsistent moments," Robinson said. "I was proud of our players for battling until the very end. We saw flashes of great play, and we saw a lot of areas to go back home and continue to work on in practice."
Berry closes out its appearance in the Pacific Coast Classic Saturday with matches against LaVerne and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
