Box Score 2 Madison Moss delivered a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth inning to give Berry a 5-4 victory over No. 9 Birmingham-Southern Sunday night in the final game of three games played by the Vikings on the day.
Earlier in the day, Berry dropped a 4-3 decision to North Park in an 11-inning game that started Saturday but was suspended in the sixth inning do to rain, then rebounded with a 4-3 win over North Park.
Moss scored Cason Dremann, who reached on a fielder's choice, advanced to second on a wild pitch and, later, moved to third on a failed pickoff attempt.
The Vikings came from behind to tie the score on Cory Pitts' two-out homer over the wall in left-centerfield.
It was the second time in the game that the Vikings tied the score after trailing. Birmingham-Southern scored twice in the bottom of the second, but two innings later, Berry's Drew McDuffie delivered a sacrifice fly and Pitts followed with an RBI single to make the score 2-2.
The Vikes added another run in the fifth when Thomas Johnson scored on a throwing error after Moss' infield single, giving Berry its first lead, 3-2.
The Panthers would regain the lead in the bottom of the fifth with two runs, setting up Berry's late-innings comeback.
Josh Dilbeck (2-2) earned the victory on the hill. In four shutout innings of relief, Dilbeck struck out three and walked two batters.
Johnson led Berry at the plate with a 3-for-4 performance. He scored twice. Moss, Pitts and Austin Neely each had two hits.
In the first game against North Park, Johnson went 4-for-4 and Moss drove in a pair of runs, but North Park scored in the bottom of the 11th to claim the victory.
Pitts collected a pair of hits and swiped three bags in the opener, while Austin Neely also picked up two hits.
Trent Hillis (0-1) took the loss after allowing one run in 2 1/3 innings of relief.
Berry answered with a 4-3 win of its own over North Park in the next game.
Casey Gray (3-0) held North Park to just four hits in a seven-inning complete game, striking out six batters in the process.
Dremann drove in two runs for Berry, which scored twice in each of the first two innings.
Berry returns to action Tuesday at Emmanuel.
