Chris Delfausse

Chris Delfausse was named the first ever head men's lacrossecoach at Berry College in June, 2009 and led the Vikings throughtheir inaugural season in 2011.

In the first year of BC lacrosse, Berry went 5-9 and won threeof its last four games. In 2012, the Vikings showed improvement byfinishing 6-9. The Vikings outscored opponents 151-117 in theprogram's second year.

“By hiring Chris as our men’s lacrosse coach, we arebringing in someone with a track record of building a winninglacrosse program from the ground up,” said Berry's athleticsdirector, Todd Brooks, when he announced Delfausse's hiring.

Delfausse enjoyed immediate success as head coach at AdrianCollege in Michigan, leading the Bulldogs to an 8-6 record in 2008,their inaugural season of varsity competition. In the process, histeam averaged 13.5 goals per-game to rank 11th nationally in NCAADiv. III.

Delfausse’s crew showed no signs of a sophomore slump in2009, once again averaging 13.5 goals per-game en route to a secondconsecutive 8-6 finish.

“I have been through the process of creating a first-timelacrosse program at a school,” Delfausse said. “AtAdrian, we were able to have success early, and that is a trend Ihope to continue here at Berry.”

Under Delfausse's leadership, the Vikings have allowed just 8.1goals each game and produced four shutouts. His NCAA Division IIIcollegiate teams (Berry and Adrian) have averaged 11.7goals-per-game. 

During his tenure at Adrian, Delfausse played a key role in thecreation of the Midwest Lacrosse Conference. He also served asdirector of the Nike lacrosse camp held on the Adrian campus.

He currently is director of the Berry Lacrosse Camp and thefounder of Reef Lacrosse, which provides hosts camps andtournaments. 

Earlier in his career, Delfausse was a successful club coach atWake Forest University and led the Demon Deacons to its only SELCtournament appearance.

Delfausse is a graduate of Connecticut College with a Bachelor ofArts degree in environmental science. He also holds a master'sdegree from Wake Forest in counseling. As a player, he was amidfielder on the Connecticut College varsity lacrosse team forfour years. 

He and his wife, Laura, have a son, Paxton, born in July, 2011.They also have a dog, Charlie.
