Volleyball Soars to Program-Best No. 16 in AVCA Top 25

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Berry College volleyball team jumped four spots to a program-best No. 16 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Now with their highest ranking in program history, the Vikings sit at 17-2 on the year and 12-0 in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA), already wrapping up at least a share of their second-straight regular season conference title. Berry needs one more win in league play to secure the regular season crown outright and host the SAA tournament on Nov. 2-4.

The Vikings continue to rank in the top-10 in NCAA Division III for blocks per set with 2.26. Carson VanCampen leads the way, ranking No. 8 individually in the nation with 1.26 B/S. Emily Hancock leads the SAA with 3.82 kills per set, helping Berry to a league-leading .231 hitting percentage.

Berry has an out-of-conference tilt with Covenant College tonight at 6:00 p.m. before they head to Millsaps College on Friday at 8:00 p.m. with a shot at securing the No. 1 seed in the SAA tournament.
