Volleyball Continues to Roll, Bests Centre 3-0 on Saturday

DANVILLE, Ky. — The No. 24 Berry College volleyball team won in straight sets against Centre College on Saturday afternoon to remain perfect in conference play. 

The Vikings controlled the whole match, winning 25-17, 25-14, and 25-21. Berry has swept each of their last four opponents improving to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the SAA.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Leading 20-17 in a tight first set, the Vikings shut the door with five straight points to go up 1-0. 
  • Tied 10-10 in the second set, Berry finished on a 15-4 run to push their lead to 2-0. 
  • Berry finished with a .254 hitting percentage over the course of the match, while Centre hit .023 
  • Berry dominated the assist category, racking up 44 compared to Centre's 17. Jordan Leitch led the Vikings with 29. 
  • Emily Hancock and Carson VanCampen finished with 12 kills apiece for the Vikings.
