Volleyball Sets Program Record with 3-0 Win at Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. — Emily Hancock and Christina Goforth each added nine kills as the Berry College volleyball team remained undefeated in conference play with a 3-0 win over Sewanee on Saturday. 

With the win, Berry improves to a perfect 7-0 in Southern Athletic Association play, setting a program record for the best start in conference competition since Berry joined NCAA Division III.

Set scores were 29-27, 25-14 and 25-14, as the Vikings earned their ninth sweep of the year. Each team finished the match with 29 kills, while Berry led in assists (28-27), digs (38-36) and blocks (10-3). The Vikings also hit .171 on the day to Sewanee's -.035.

• Sewanee falls to 7-8 and 1-5.
