LEXINGTON, KY. -- Stephanie Quinn of Berry College has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week.
A senior setter, she was named the Southern Athletic Association Player of the Week on Monday. She helped quarterback the Vikings offense to a team hitting percentage of .307 and three sweeps.
Quinn is a multi-dimensional setter, illustrated by her 12 kills, 22 digs and .400 hitting percentage (25 attempts) to accompany her combined 96 assists in nine total sets. After tallying 27 assists over Oglethorpe, her offense saw five different players hit over .300 over Rhodes. In the final match of the weekend, the senior notched 44 assists en route to a .328 team hitting percentage against Hendrix, which was the second highest of the season since Berry hit .337 on September 4th against LaGrange.
This is the first time a student-athlete from Berry has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week. The Vikings are coached by Mika Robinson.
