Women's Soccer Earns First Conference Win Over Millsaps 6-1

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's soccer team cruised past Millsaps College on Friday night 6-1, winning its first conference game of the season.

The Vikings are now 6-4-2 overall and 1-1-1 in league play. Millsaps fell to 3-8-0 and 0-3-0 in conference. 

Berry went ahead in the 11th minute off the boot of Vanessa Belanger. Karsen Brantley then scored in the 26th minute and Lyndsey Francingues in the 41st minute to give the Vikings a 3-0 lead. Karsen Brantley scored in the 58th minute before a goal from Kat Mabbs in the 77th minute. Millsaps finally broke through on a free kick just outside the box in the 85th minute to make the score 5-1. Francingues scored her second in the 86th minute to secure the win. 

Berry hosts BSC on Sunday for Senior Day.
