Women's Lacrosse Drops SAA Contest at BSC

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Berry College women's lacrosse team fell Friday night at Birmingham-Southern with an 18-3 final. The loss drops Berry to 1-6 on the year and 0-2 in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play. 

Tyler Mae Stempien led the way offensively, scoring two goals. Cydney Maddox also scored for Berry. Ella Makin recorded 13 saves in goal on 28 shots. 

The Panthers controlled the game from the start, jumping out to an 8-0 lead. Berry was able to make it 9-2 at the half, but were outscored 9-1 in the second period. 

Berry will compete at Southern Virginia on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
