LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Berry College women's lacrosse team was left searching for their first win on Saturday afternoon, falling to Transylvania University 14-1.
Olivia Iobst scored the lone goal in the outing, as the Vikings weathered an offensive onslaught from a talented Transy squad. Ella Makin tied her own program record with 21 total saves in goal, facing 35 shots.
Berry trailed 10-0 at halftime and were down 13-0 in the second half before Iobst broke the shutout with an assist from Ashley Merritt.
The Vikings will return to action tomorrow with a road contest at NAIA Georgetown (Ky.)
