ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's basketball team completed a 56-53 upset victory over the Millsaps College Majors on Friday night, improving to 10-11 overall and 6-4 in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play.
Millsaps came into the game leading the league, but fell to 17-4 and 8-2 in the SAA following tonight's action.
Jana Morning put on another strong performance leading the way with 18 points. Morning also added five rebounds and two assists. Eveline Parsons provided a spark off the bench for the Vikings chipping in with 10 points of her own.
The win extended Berry's record-breaking winning streak to six straight games.
The Vikings stayed within striking distance closing the first half trailing 28-23. In the third quarter, the defense stepped up, only allowing nine points and took the lead. The fourth quarter went back and forth as the Vikings were able to hold off the Majors to seal the upset victory.
