Third Quarter Collapse Upends Women's Basketball at BSC

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Berry College women's basketball team was left searching for their first win in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Birmingham-Southern Panthers 73-59 to drop to 4-10 overall and 0-3 in league play. 

Alex Weems continued her hot weekend, scoring a team-best 23 points on 6-for-13 shooting. She was also 10-for-13 at the free throw line. Christine Cerezola also had another strong game, scoring 16 points. 

Berry trailed by just one at halftime, but were outscored 21-7 in the third. BSC was efficient from the floor, shooting51.0% from the field and 35.7% from three-point range.
