Biography

ABOUT: Rachel is a native of Brookhaven, Georgia, and is the daughter of Laura and David Axelson and has three siblings named Emma, Mary, and Margaret. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, weightlifting, and watching sports. Rachel’s favorite superhero is Thor.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a Chamblee Bulldog, Rachel was exceptional in the classroom and on the field. The Superintendents Scholar graduated with honors and was inducted into the National Honor Society and National Beta Club. Athletically, Axelson led her team to two elite eight appearances in 2021 and 2022. Individually, she was an All-County performer in all of her four years on varsity and made the Georgia Dugout Club All-State Game in 2024.
