Softball Cruises to 17-0 Run-Rule Victory Over Sewanee

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College softball team finished the night with 15 hits, as they defeated Sewanee in their first conference matchup of the year 17-0 Friday night.

Five Vikings added multi-hit games in the win, as Berry jumped out to an early 9-0 lead by the end of the second inning and never looked back. Elisabeth Federici led Berry in the contest, hitting 2-for-2 at the plate, with a 3-RBI homer to finish with four RBIs on the night.

Makenzie Flynt picked up her second win of the year, tossing 4.0 innings allowing four hits in the shutout. 

The win was the seventh of the year for Berry, as the Vikings improved to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the SAA. Sewanee fell to 0-3 and 0-1.
