LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Kassie Howard of Berry College has been named an All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Howard, the Vikings' first softball All-American, was tabbed to the national third team.
A sophomore pitcher from Alpharetta, Georgia, finished the 2016 season with a 28-2 record. A two-time Southern Athletic Association Player of the Year, as well as a two-time NFCA All-Region Team member, Howard recorded 191 innings for the Vikings, posting a 1.32 ERA, while striking out 229 batters. She led her team to a program-best 39-8 year and a second place finish in the Atlantic Regionals for the second year in a row.
