Men's & Women's Tennis Eliminated from SAA Tournament on Friday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Berry College men's and women's tennis teams closed their seasons on Friday afternoon, falling to Rhodes College in the opening round of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament. The men's team fell to the Lynx 5-0 while the women were bested 5-3. 

The Vikings women's team claimed wins at three of the six singles spots, including wins from Sara Myers, Kathryn Barker and Faith Van Rengen. Rhodes claimed each doubles match to secure the win. 

Berry's men's team was bested across the board, but had strong showings from Ryan Miner/Jordan Crance and Rory Glatt/Clay Jones in doubles competition. 

The women close the year 10-6 overall. The men finish 5-10 overall. 

Ryan Miner and Allison Ivey earned All-Tournament recognition.
