Men's Lacrosse Names Linnan Newest Assistant Coach

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College men's lacrosse program announced John Linnan as the team's new assistant coach this afternoon. 

Linnan most recently served as the assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla. Under Linnan's direction as the defensive coordinator, the Seahawks compiled a 25-13 record and three consecutive trips to the NAIA championship tournament.

Prior to Keiser, Linnan served as the defensive coordinator for Palm Beach Atlantic University, guiding the Sailfish to an 11-4 record. Linnan also coached the Fellowship of Christian Athletes youth lacrosse club in Florida. 

Linnan played for Team USA in the 2008 Brogden Cup and was selected as an US Lacrosse High School All-American in 2009. He was a four year varsity starter for Penn Yan Academy in upstate New York. He went on to play three seasons for Jacksonville University, Florida's first NCAA Division I lacrosse program. Linnan concluded his playing career at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where he was named Team MVP and garnered All-American status as a midfielder while with the Sailfish.

He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Jacksonville University.
