Men's Lacrosse Edged in Overtime at Centre 15-14

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College men’s lacrosse team dropped a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup in overtime at Centre 15-14. Berry falls to 3-6 and 0-1 in league play.

Berry was led offensively by Justin Westbrook and Matthew Tatum who each scored three goals apiece. Centre jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the first quarter, but the Vikings scored six in the second to hold an 8-7 lead at halftime.

Both teams traded blows in the second half before Tatum scored the equalizer off a pass from McKinley Gannon with just under two minutes to play. Centre’s Jack Shannon scored the game winner in overtime.

Berry will host Hendrix on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
